The trip to the US

Hello everyone in Brazil!

We are already writing from the United States of America. What we can say so far: it is an amazing country, Boise is quite beautiful and its people are so kind and friendly. Even after travelling over 24 hours to get here, tired and starving, our departure in Boise was so nice! Just after arriving we went to Riverstone and met with the host families. When we saw each other was so exciting, because we had emailed a lot them and it was like we knew them for ages. All the families are kind and friendly, and the americans are really funny! They all like Brazil so much and want to visit SESC High School.

Now, a personal testimonial from GEGE!
We had a night flight to Washington, so we arrived about 7 am, and I hadn`t slept much on plane as I was so excited about the arrival. We spent the nine hours reading a bit, watching some movies, listening to millions of songs and talking to the flight attendants, who were so kind to us. Arriving in America was pretty emotionous. I just didn`t cry because we had to run to a giant line to the customs. Unfortunately on this wait we lost our flight to Chicago, so we got a next one to Denver, Colorado. Once more we had a long flight: about 3 and a half hour. There we had Pizza Hut and got a plane to Boise. We finally arrived and met Andrew and Tarrah, because the students and the host families had returned to the school due to the delay. Leaving the airport we were really impressed: Boise is a very organized city, with lots of trees and green areas, as well as a wonderful landscape. Riverstone is a quite small school. Actually it has two different buildings. We went to the one of the High School, and there it has about 90 students. Just after knowing all the building each one followed to the host family home. My family is simply incredible. Tom and Lisa, the parents, are very kind and friendly. Sam, who studies in Riverstone, and Sarah, his younger sister, are also very nice people. We had a dinner very funny: I found out americans eat avocado in sandwiches! That`s right, they don`t eat it with sugar (actually they think this is quite strange!) but with ram, a thing they go `banana pepers` (which are a bit spicy-so nice!) and mustard. Today in the morning Lisa woke me up 7.30, and we had to leave to Riverstone at about 8, so I quickly took a shower and after had chocolate cereal for breakfast. In the school we met our classmates and had three periods: Music, when we had to compare a peruvian song with an irish one, art, we worked with clay and did some pottery, and World Religions, when we had a topic on Islam. Then it was lunch time. At Riverstone they have no restaurant, so you can buy something across the street or take from home. My mom had prepared for me a sandwich of peanut butter and jelly. Amazing!! After eating we went to a walk till Idaho State Capitol. Just in front of it there were lots of protesters against Obama, accusing him of too high government expenses and interference on the Economy. Then we got a trolley downtown, like a open bus, which took us to a tour through Boise, very nice. Right now I`m writing this from my host family home, which is a hill and I see all there houses with grass from the window. Boise is a very easy going town, it is a very peaceful place. Following I will post some picture of our trip so far.

I want to say we missing you guys a lot here, but it`s being so cool and we hope you are all fine there. Big hugs for our friends! :D
